What is love?
I'm no expert. I'm no thesaurus. What I am as a person like any other. With likes and dislikes, Differences and similarities, experiences and lack of experiences. What I do know is that life is too large to examine every little detail with a fine toothed comb, but the things that everyone have or yearn to have in common are what deserve observation. It's not hard to see that what we all want on some basic human level is to love and be loved..but the question is: What is love? pause and rewind. What happened to examining whats important? Well in order to really understand anything with a certainty you have to start by simply asking questions. So again...What is love? Well I have no intention of answering that question within a single blog or with a simple answer because the idea of love is profound and deserves enough respect and dignity to be explored in every facet. But one has to start somewhere and it doesn't get any simpler than sex. By no means am I implying that sex is simple but in respect to love it is the simplest to comprehend, delve into, and even practice. Sex is often referred to as "making love" so the derivation of this would mean that when the passion between two people manifests as a physical union of their bodies in an act that is meant to yield pure physical bliss its safe to say that even if people that have sex aren't in love.. they are making love. Now when I said sex wasn't simple I meant it. Like love,in theory its simply just the thrusting of a man's manhood into a woman's pleasure center, but there are many forms and those forms create a multitude of symbolism with the overall central form of sex conveying that idea of pure joy and bliss...like what people believe love to be.I'm sure none would abstain from trading emotional love for its physical counterpart. As a man achieves his moment of climax or a woman achieving an orgasm in fits of passion while rapped in physical embraces that would make the knots in pretzels jealous but both of those components of love gain understanding from exploration, and yet...the question. One last time: What is love? Love is complicated and Like everyone else whether they admit to it or not... I'm on a journey to find it.
